Kaunas University of Technology(KTU) and the Consulate of India in Lithuania organized Diwali Night in Kaunas on Thursday, 12 November, 2015. The event was attended by 80 students, including some students from other countries and Lithuania. Lots of candles were lit in the venue, as per the beautiful Indian tradition of Diwali, the festival of lights. The event was attended by Diana Mickeviciene, Deputy Director, Latin America, Africa, Asia and Pacific Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania, and Wing Commander Rajinder Chaudhary, Honorary Consul of India to Lithuania and they both also conducted the workshop for the newly arrived Indian students to highlight real life experiences, differences and similarities between India and Lithuania. Classical Indian dances were performed by talented Lithuanian ladies. Delicious Indian food and desserts were provided by courtesy of the International Relations Deparment of KTU. It was a truly memorable celebration!
